I finally pulled the race engine from the Truck today……..I retired it @ the end of last year after running the 9.57 @ 140 mph……I had a difficult time removing the engine…I just have a hard time believing I will no longer be racing it…………..Sad day…..I will be installing a new street worthy engine that runs on pump gas….It is a destroked SBC 400 which makes it a 377 cubic inch w/ Brodix Track One heads. I will swap out the 5,200 stall converter for a 3,000-3,200 stall….It will be no slouch…but it will never be what it was………One of the only true Hot Rods that showed up @ a Nostalgic race and raced in the Hot Rod class that was filled w/ Camaros, Chevelles and tubbed out cars…..
