The Pickup finally hits the Streets again w/ a Streetable PowerPlant…

New 355

New 355

My Truck has hit the local streets for the first time in a while……….I installed a 355 w/ 10 to 1 compression, forged rotating assembly, Dart Iron Eagle 200cc heads w/ 2.02-1.6 valves, shaved .030” for more squeeze w/ aluminum roller rockers up top fully girdled…Comp Cams Mechanical Flat Tappet  camshaft w/ 252-260 duration @ .050” and .540/.558 lift…The intake is a Dart knock off w/ a 750 Holley Double pumper w/ a ProForm center body……..Drives great on the street…Just took it to the DragStrip the other night and it clicked off an easy 11.35 just the way it is driven on the street…and that was with some problems….With some carb tuning and other work..It should run 11.00’s and street driven…..More to come soon…

I am running the Four barrel setup to see how fast it will go with the idea of then going back to the six-two setup I typically run….I thought it would be neat to compare the two……..Does my six-two set up work better than the four barrel or not ?….How much does it hurt performance if at all……..Littleman
