I have the engine and trans back in place…….The trans has a fresh rebuild w/ all the good stuff, before it was a stock trans w/ a shift kit…….I also went from a 3,700 stall to a 4,900 stall……..The engine’s heads have been given a hair cut…raising the compression from 12 to 1 up to 13.2 to 1..everything has been cc’d so I know what I really have………The last cam was a street-able hydraulic roller..its been swapped out for a larger solid stick…I am also changing gears from a 4.88 posi to a 5.14 spool setup along with 35 spline Strange axles…and as you can see I am going to add Nitrous to the 6 x 2 setup….which I am currently figuring out……I still really have no clue why I am doing this…….besides to see how fast I can get this donkey rolling…..I do not plan on rushing into using the nitrous right off the bat, but only after I get the new combination redialed in…..then I will hit the button…insert evil laugh….I have always been curious with nitrous and with a little nudge by someone I know and respect….I had a working system off a four barrel car for a few hundred bucks thanks to them locating it for me….I really know nothing about the use of this stuff but will enjoy the learning curve…If you research its use…you find it’s been around for a long time……….   I am getting the Truck ready for the Detroit Auto Rama which is the first weekend in March……I had the Truck there the very first year they opened the basement to Hot Rods..so it’s been awhile and the Truck has had a hard life since then…The drag Strip has taken it’s toll on it, but its still fairly presentable..Its a great time……….Dave Littleman Lohr
